Musée de l'Ecorché d'Anatomie

Eure, Normandie

Open since 1995, the Musée de l'Écorché d'Anatomie, at Le Neubourg in the Eure, presents a heritage unique in the world. It is a local speciality, shown to the public thanks to a donation from the Auzoux company. Since October 2005 an additional exhibition room has displayed many pieces such as the tsetse fly, the cockchafer, the bee, the fern, algae and the germination of wheat, as Auzoux was also interested in wildlife and plants.

The museum pays tribute to Louis Auzoux, a French doctor internationally known for creating anatomical models used in teaching human and veterinary medicine.
