Musée d'art moderne de Troyes
The Troyes modern art museum is the town's most important museum together with the fine arts museum, and one of the richest modern art museums in provincial France. Housed in the former episcopal palace, it is a collectors' museum, built up from private donations, the very first of which is that of Pierre and Denise Lévy, textile industrialists. Nearly 2,000 works, paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics… offer a complete panorama of art from the second half of the nineteenth century to the 1960s, as well as a collection of primitive art objects from Africa and Oceania.
