Maison de l'outil et de la pensée ouvrière
The Maison de l'Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière houses a collection of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century tools exceptional in its richness and diversity.
The Maison de l'Outil has become the largest museum of hand-shaping tools in the world, for the quality, quantity and completeness of the tools shown, but also for the unique, timeless scenography that turns it into the "workman's Louvre".
The Maison de l'Outil et de la Pensée Ouvrière is a museum of history and ethnology in Troyes, in the Aube. It is housed in a Renaissance townhouse built in 1556: the Hôtel de Mauroy.
