MUDO - Musée de l'Oise
The MUDO - Musée de l'Oise is housed in the former palace of the bishop-counts of Beauvais, at the foot of the cathedral. This remarkable listed ensemble includes a 14th-century gatehouse, decorated with the famous wall painting of the musician sirens, linked by a wing to the Renaissance palace built for Bishop Louis Villiers de l'Isle-Adam (1497-1521) on the foundations of a 12th-century building.
Several times a year the museum holds temporary exhibitions on artists or movements linked to its collections, with talks and children's workshops on the exhibitions and permanent collections. Contemporary artists also regularly intervene, offering a fresh perspective on the palace and the works.
