Metallurgic Park

Haute-Marne, Grand Est

Metallurgic Park, at Dommartin-le-Franc in the Haute-Marne, was the first interpretation centre devoted to iron founding. It lies in the Blaise valley, reputed to have been the oldest and most active metalworking valley in the 19th century.

It offers the discovery of a perfectly preserved former industrial site, brought to life by a contemporary presentation. From the workings of a blast furnace to modern foundries, by way of the celebrated production of artistic cast iron, the fiery world of the ironworkers is revealed.
