Maison de La Beauce
The Maison de la Beauce is a discovery centre at Orgères-en-Beauce, in the Eure-et-Loir, in an old Beauce farmhouse. Open since 1995, it is also the tourist office for the Cœur de Beauce, at 5 Place de Beauce.
The permanent exhibition presents this great farming region around three themes: the lived territory and its heritage, natural cycles, and the soil. An interactive game and a video triptych complete the display, with a game trail for children.
It also hosts temporary exhibitions, talks, events and a documentation centre, as well as a shop selling local products; for the European Heritage Days in 2022, for example, it presented the history of mapmaking with many old maps. It offers visits and activities for all ages, including families and school groups.
