Le Compa, conservatoire de l'Agriculture

Le Compa, the agricultural conservatory, is a departmental museum at Mainvilliers, near Chartres in the Eure-et-Loir, combining science, history, techniques and arts.

In 3,000 m² of exhibition space it presents a collection of agricultural machines from the 1800s to the 1960s telling the story of the farming cycle. It also addresses current issues linked to agriculture, the environment and food, and organises festivals, demonstrations, shows, concerts, meetings and film screenings for all audiences.
