Le Pal
Le Pal is both a zoological and amusement park, set up at Saint-Pourçain-sur-Besbre, in the Allier. It opened in 1973 as a wildlife park, and the first attractions were added in 1981. Today it covers about 50 hectares.
You will meet more than a thousand animals: lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, otters and many other species. The park has about thirty attractions, including five roller coasters and several water rides. Thrill-seekers and families with young children each find their own route, and the visit can combine enclosures, shows and rides in the same day.
Le Pal also offers on-site accommodation, in safari-inspired lodges on stilts or in a hotel opened in 2021. The park is committed to species conservation through its foundation Le Pal Nature, and obtained in 2010 the Green Globe sustainable tourism certification, a first for a French leisure park. It receives more than 700,000 visitors per season. Shows and attractions change from year to year: it is better to check the official website before coming.
