Château de Billy
Built in the 12th century, the castle of Billy, in the Allier, was for a long time one of the main possessions of the Bourbons. Its main curtain wall is remarkable for its oval shape and above all for its hexagonal watchtower, La Guette, which towers over the houses of the village and the medieval streets winding around the castle walls.
The gatehouse at the entrance is still imposing, and a walkway laid out on the south curtain wall offers a magnificent panorama of the Allier valley as far as the mountains of the Auvergne.
