The Écomusée du Marais vendéen - Le Daviaud was created in 1982 at La Barre-de-Monts, in the Vendée. This large open-air museum covers 75 hectares of natural land.

It tells the story of this territory reclaimed from the sea and gives an overview of the marsh dwellers' skills, the local fauna and flora and the architecture of the Vendée marshes. It is a family-friendly place to discover the natural and historical heritage of the area.
