Le chateau de Montbrun
The Château de Montbrun, a fortress of the 12th and 15th centuries, stands 1.5 km from the village of Dournazac, in the Haute-Vienne, on the 'Richard the Lionheart route', which links many medieval castles in varying states of preservation.
Its history has been particularly eventful, marked by construction, fires, destruction, rebuilding, looting and restoration over its long existence. Today, in a green setting, it is reflected in the calm waters of the pond that surrounds it.
