Le chateau de La Montchevalleraie
At the end of an avenue of century-old trees, the Château de La Montchevalleraie, in the Maine-et-Loire, is a private home lived in all year round. This family residence was built in the 18th century for Anjou notables; its 18th- and 19th-century architecture has been preserved and restored by the present owners.
All the buildings and outbuildings of the estate remain: kennels, stables, barn, tack room, hunting room, garage and lofts. After restoring the château and park, the owners have given it back the character of provincial family houses of the 18th and 19th centuries, with a mix of family and antique furniture and objects. The château holds the VMF 'Patrimoine Historique' label.
