Le Château de Fayrac
The Château de Fayrac stands between the Château des Milandes and the Château de Castelnaud, on the south bank of the Dordogne.
During the Hundred Years' War it was an English outpost built to watch over Beynac, on the opposite bank, where the French had entrenched themselves.
Built in the 15th century, it was renovated over the following centuries. It is not open to the public, but its exterior can be admired from the D54, which runs along the river.
