Lac du Der
Lac du Der in Champagne is one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe: 4,800 hectares of water, 80 km of shores. All year round, it offers nature as a spectacle. 5,000 hectares of forests, 300 km of paths, 250 km of marked mountain-bike circuits, this bocage country is the place for every kind of hike and much more!
Lac du Der-Chantecoq, or Marne reservoir lake, is an artificial lake in north-east France, on the boundary of the Marne and Haute-Marne. Designed to protect Paris from floods, it aims to reinforce the Marne's flow at low water and reduce the scale of floods.
