Jardin des Prés-Fichaux
In the heart of Bourges, in the Cher, the Jardin des Prés-Fichaux is the only public garden in the Berry labelled 'Jardin Remarquable'. It still has typically Art Deco ornaments and statues, which led to its registration as a historic monument in 1990.
The garden has a particular charm thanks to its many plant sculptures of hornbeam hedges, French-style screens of lime trees, straight lawns and strictly clipped yew arches, alongside a freer arrangement of beds and pools around the open-air theatre.
