Hôtel du Palais
The Hôtel du Palais is a luxury hotel in Biarritz, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Its façades and roofs have been registered as historic monuments since 1993.
The building was originally the summer residence of Empress Eugénie, wife of Emperor Napoleon III. It was built in 1854 in the Second Empire style. Then called the Villa Eugénie, it kept that name until 1893, when it was turned into a grand hotel and renamed the Hôtel du Palais. It is now rated five stars.
