Grottes de l'Aguzou

Aude, Occitanie

The cavity is a cave in its natural state without artificial lighting. Visits are made in small groups over a day or half a day. The route is fairly sporty, without great difficulty. A discovery through richly concreted rooms and galleries, from the most classic to the most subtle. An emotion and a respect for this geological heritage. The first part of the cave has been known since prehistoric times and was fitted out for spa guests from the beginning of the century. In 1965 a second network was discovered, revealing 6 km of fantastic galleries, of which, to date, 1,500 metres are visited by the public. The cave is one of the most beautiful in Europe, and also a great journey through time and the underground world.
