Château des Monthairons
The Château des Monthairons, in the Meuse, stands in an enclosed 14-hectare park, bordered along its entire west side by the Meuse.
The park contains two chapels and a heronry, where herons come to nest in spring: in 2008, 44 nests were counted, according to a member of the bird protection league. According to a legend of uncertain origin, these birds gave their name to the village and the château. Walks under the trees may also reveal kingfishers hunting for fish.
