Château de Thillombois

Meuse, Grand Est

The Château de Thillombois stands in the heart of the Meuse, between Bar-le-Duc and Verdun. Of medieval origin, it was entirely transformed in the 19th century by the Nettancourt-Vaubécourt family, who gave it its present appearance.

Today it is the subject of a major restoration project supported by grants, donations and volunteers, and presented by Stéphane Bern. Stone-carving and masonry workcamps welcome participants from several countries every summer.

The château hosts many events: an equestrian biennial in the park, a book fair, talks on the castles of Lorraine, walks and themed evenings. It also offers visits and hires out its spaces for seminars, weddings and receptions, and can host stays.
