Château de Montalègre

The Château de Montalègre is a medieval castle in the Sorgues valley, in the commune of Versols-et-Lapeyre, in the Aveyron. The feudal castle consists of an almost square two-storey main building flanked by four round towers. The third floor, now an attic, had defensive features.

The upper floors are reached by a spiral staircase projecting from the centre of the south façade. The south-east tower has a chapel with 19th-century décor on the first floor, above a half-domed vaulted room with traces of religious paintings.
