Château de La Gataudière
The Château de la Gataudière, at Marennes in the Charente-Maritime, recalls the history of the Chasseloup-Laubat family: the general-in-chief of engineers of the Grande Armée, then the Minister of the Navy and Colonies under Napoleon III, and their links with the imperial Bonaparte family and the King of Naples, through Prince Murat de Chasseloup-Laubat.
The visit includes the main salon with its carved decoration and the panelled dining room.
