Château de la Ferté
The Château de La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, in the Sologne south of Orléans, is a private, lived-in residence open to visitors. The tour takes in fifteen furnished rooms, the stables and an attic where old toys are gathered.
The park, some forty hectares, was laid out as a French formal garden from the 1630s, then turned into a landscaped park from 1822. It offers discovery trails for families: in 2026, L'Aventure des Mousquetaires, from April to September, and La Forêt Interdite, an outdoor trail open from June to September.
The estate also hosts events, such as an electronic music festival in July. It lies at La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, in the Loiret, between Orléans and the Sologne of ponds and forests.
