Château de l'Oiselinière
The Château de l'Oiselinière is a wine estate at Gorges, in the heart of the Nantes vineyards, on the slopes of the Sèvre Nantaise. A seigneury before the Revolution, the property appears in the archives as early as 1335.
The buildings date from the 19th century: outbuildings of 1800 close a large courtyard in front of an Italian-style villa built between 1822 and 1835. The villa, outbuildings and orangery have been registered as historic monuments since 1997.
The vines, planted on gabbro soil facing south-west, surround the château. A document of 1635 already mentions Muscadet being planted on the Grands Gâts plot. The estate produces Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine wines and offers guest rooms in the château and its outbuildings.
