Château de Dinteville
The Château de Dinteville, in the Haute-Marne, was built in the 16th century around a large 13th-century keep. The rectangular platform surrounded by moats and the two round towers framing the main building may be remains of the original structure.
From the 13th century until 1608 the château belonged to the Jaucourt family, very active in Champagne under Francis I, which died out in 1607. The château was bought in 1703 and restored to 18th-century taste. It has remained in the same family ever since.
