Château de Diedendorf

Bas-Rhin, Grand Est

The Château de Diedendorf is a small fortified manor built in 1577, reflecting the architectural and decorative style of the 16th-century Alsatian Renaissance. It stands in Diedendorf, in the Bas-Rhin, in the Alsace Bossue. Two round corner towers, topped with imperial-style roofs, highlight the corners of the house.

The Renaissance rooms, with their décor and furniture, show an interior that remains close to its original appearance. This pleasant visit combines well with the villages of the Alsace Bossue and the sights around Sarre-Union. The château is a valuable example of a small fortified house of the Rhineland Renaissance.
