Château de Costaérès

Côtes-d'Armor, Bretagne

The Château de Costaérès is a neo-medieval seaside château built in the 19th century on the island of Costaérès, at Trégastel, on the Pink Granite Coast, in the Côtes-d'Armor. It is private property, recorded in the general heritage inventory since 2000.

Its Breton name, Coz-Seherez, means 'old drying place', as fishermen once dried their fish here. Built of pink granite, it stands on an islet facing the beaches of Tourony and Saint-Guirec. It can be admired from the coast, especially on a walk along the customs officers' path, among rounded rocks.
