Château de Blancafort
The Château de Blancafort stands in the heart of the village of Blancafort, in the Cher, in the part of the Berry known as the Pays-Fort. It is thought to have been built after 1475 and completed in the early 16th century for François de Boucard and his wife Marguerite de Cugnac.
In the 17th century, a main courtyard flanked by two pavilions was added. Today visitors can see the library with its Régence panelling and the dining room, hung with Flemish leather and set with fine pewter.
The park completes the visit, with a French-style scrolled parterre in front of the façade and a woodland path.
