Castelnaud-la-Chapelle
Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, ranked among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France", overlooking the confluence of the Dordogne and the Céou, characterised by its terraced layout climbed along little steep lanes, is a village of exceptional heritage richness. The château de Castelnaud, listed as a Historic Monument in 1966, overlooks the Dordogne valley and offers a magnificent panorama over the sites of Beynac, Marqueyssac and La Roque-Gageac. Its very typical houses, its war memorial, its dovecotes, its viewpoints, its walking paths and hikes, not forgetting its cliffs and rivers, make it a prime place for outdoor leisure and a change of scene.
