Cascade d'Aubert
The Aubert waterfall is a natural waterfall of the Pyrenees, west of the Sourroque massif, in the commune of Moulis, near Saint-Girons, in the Ariège. It rises at 552 metres' altitude and flows south-east of the hamlet of Aubert, in a canyon surrounded by a state forest, on the north slope, hence shaded.
It is fed by the Poudades stream, with a small catchment: its flow varies quickly with precipitation and generally remains modest in summer. Below, the stream is lost at the contact with Jurassic dolomites, in the massif's karst network.
