Cascade du Ceriset

Hautes-Pyrénées, Occitanie

The Ceriset waterfall, sometimes spelt Cerisey on the road sign, is a fall of the Gave du Marcadau near Cauterets, in the Hautes-Pyrénées. It can be seen from the road to the Pont d'Espagne, where a small parking area allows a stop, and it also borders the Sentier des Cascades.

The path, suitable for families, follows the Gave du Marcadau up to the Pont d'Espagne past several waterfalls. Spring and early summer, when snowmelt gives a strong flow, are the best times. A loop from Cauterets can include a detour to the waterfall.
