Cascade de Boussès

Hautes-Pyrénées, Occitanie

The Boussès waterfall is on the Chemin des Cascades, which links La Raillère, above Cauterets, to the Pont d'Espagne, in the Hautes-Pyrénées. It is at about 1,380 metres, along the Gave du Marcadau, in the Pyrenees National Park.

The path crosses the forest following the torrent and passes a series of waterfalls and structures such as the stone Pas de l'Ours bridge. The full round trip from the Cauterets mountain office makes a day's walk of medium difficulty. Cauterets, a spa town and ski resort, is the natural starting point, and in summer a shuttle runs to the Pont d'Espagne.
