Cap d'Antibes

Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

The Cap d'Antibes is the peninsula that juts into the Mediterranean south of Antibes, between the Baie des Anges and the Golfe-Juan. Long favoured by a wealthy international clientele, it still gathers sumptuous villas hidden behind lush Mediterranean vegetation, umbrella pines and exotic gardens first among them.

Despite this residential development, the edge of the cape has kept public access thanks to the coastal path, also called the Tirepoil path, which follows the rocky shore for several kilometres. The geographical tip of the cape, near the Anse de l'Argent Faux and the Villa Eilenroc, offers an unspoilt view of the sea, far from the bustle of the seafront.

The full coastal walk takes about two to three hours, possible all year round but particularly pleasant in spring and at the end of summer, when the heat is less overwhelming.
