Blangy-le-Château
Blangy-le-Château is a village of the Pays d'Auge, in the Calvados, south of Pont-l'Évêque. It is ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. It is one of those Norman country towns with brick, stone and half-timbered houses, surrounded by meadows, hedges and cider-apple orchards.
The place invites a peaceful walk, among church, old houses and country paths, in an atmosphere very different from the nearby Côte Fleurie. It combines easily with a day between Pont-l'Évêque, Lisieux and the manors of the Pays d'Auge, where you can taste cider, calvados, pommeau and local cheeses.
