Belvédère des Vautours
In the heart of the Jonte gorges, the Belvédère des Vautours tells the fine story of how griffon vultures reclaimed their natural territory. Perfectly integrated into an unspoilt environment, the site combines a modern and engaging museum trail with direct observation from landscaped terraces. The Belvédère also lets you enter the family life of the vulture colony, thanks to the latest video-transmission techniques.
The Maison des Vautours, formerly called the Belvédère des Vautours, is a museum space in Saint-Pierre-des-Tripiers, in the Jonte gorges, in the Lozère. Originally devoted to explaining the reintroduction of griffon vultures in the département, it now introduces the general public to the way of life of the different vulture species.
