Aquarium Charles Pérez
The Charles Pérez aquarium is part of the Roscoff Biological Station, in Finistère. Begun in 1938 by Charles Pérez, then director of the station, it was completed in 1949.
It presents more than a hundred species, most of them from the local fauna and flora: rays, dogfish, seahorses, turbot, octopus, lobsters, sea urchins, sea fans, corals… The animals are spread over 33 tanks, including an 11 m³ panoramic aquarium. The species are collected on the foreshore or caught by the station's sailors.
