Abbaye de La Ferté
The Abbey of La Ferté, or La Ferté-sur-Grosne, is a Cistercian abbey at Saint-Ambreuil, in the Saône-et-Loire. It was the first of the four daughter houses of Cîteaux, with Pontigny, Clairvaux and Morimond, which played a leading role in the organisation of the Cistercian order.
The abbey was demolished, but the 18th-century abbot's palace survives and can be visited. It has been listed as a historic monument since 1993.
