Zoo du Faron
The Zoo du Faron, also called the Zoo-Fauverie du Mont Faron, is a small zoo perched on Mont Faron, the mountain overlooking Toulon and its harbour, in the Var. It is devoted mainly to big cats and other predators, cared for by the De Souza family for several generations.
The site, in a natural setting of pines and rocks, offers an exceptional view of the town and the sea. The visit is on foot along a human-scale route, suitable for families.
The park follows the massif's safety rules: when the fire risk is severe in summer, access to Mont Faron may be restricted. It is advisable to check the official website before going up, especially in rainy weather.
