Zoo d'Asson

The Asson zoo, created in 1964, is 6 kilometres from Nay, between Pau and Lourdes, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Over five hectares, in an original setting, it presents about 500 mammals and birds of around a hundred species from five continents.

They include lemurs, kangaroos, flamingos and snow leopards. Allow about an hour and a half to go round the park. With the Asson zoological association, the zoo supports wildlife conservation programmes.
