Viaduc de Cize-Bolozon
The Cize-Bolozon viaduct spans the Ain river at the bottom of its wooded gorges, linking the communes of Bolozon and Corveissiat on the Haut-Bugey line. Its two-level silhouette, with the railway above and the road below, places it among the great French railway structures.
Back in service in 2010 after the line was modernised, it now carries TGV Lyria trains between Paris and Geneva as well as regional TER trains. The view from the banks of the Ain, where the viaduct is reflected in the calm water, makes it one of the most photographed scenes in the Bugey.
