Tour de Termes-d'Armagnac

The Tour de Termes, at Termes-d'Armagnac in the Gers, a listed historic monument, is the only remnant of the castle of Thibault de Termes, companion of Joan of Arc.

It is an exceptional example of a Gers 'hall and tower' house, for its size and the quality of its living quarters: the hall building housed the public rooms, while the tower held the chapel and a remarkably large number of bedrooms.

The tower houses the Musée du Panache gascon, whose rooms present historical reconstructions with audio commentary. Medieval events are held there in summer.
