Télécabine de la Faucille
At the Col de la Faucille, in the Ain, above Gex and Mijoux, the Mont Rond Télécombi is a mixed lift combining chairs and cabins. It links the pass, at about 1,320 metres, to the ridges of the Haute Chaîne du Jura, at about 1,540 metres, and is operated by the Monts Jura group, which brings together several sites in the Pays de Gex.
From the top the view takes in the Jura, Lake Geneva and, on clear days, the Alps with Mont Blanc. In summer marked mountain-bike trails start from the top and hiking paths cross the ridges; in winter the lift gives easier access to snowshoe routes.
The cabins may close in bad weather or in case of technical problems, and the operator suggests checking its app for real-time status. The Col de la Faucille is also a starting point for other mountain leisure activities.
