Saint François Longchamp
Saint-François-Longchamp is a resort in the Savoie at the entrance to the Maurienne valley, presented as the valley's first resort. Its ski area extends from 1,200 to 2,832 metres and has 165 kilometres of runs within the Grand Domaine, which links it to Valmorel.
In winter visitors can enjoy alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark and tobogganing, notably on La Comète rail toboggan. A Nordic area, Le Grand Coin, offers cross-country skiing, biathlon and snowshoe routes, and a balneotherapy centre completes the offer.
In summer the resort is a starting point for hikes, some by chairlift, and for road and mountain biking, with the Col de la Madeleine nearby. It positions itself as a family and wellness resort, holding the 'Famille Plus' and 'Flocon Vert' labels, with a crèche and more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year.
