Planétarium de Bretagne
The Planétarium de Bretagne is in the Parc du Radôme, at Pleumeur-Bodou, in the Côtes-d'Armor. It opened to the public in May 1988. The star projector and its screen, given in 1983 by the Palais de la Découverte to the commune of Trégastel, found their home in this building near the telecommunications antennas.
The hall is topped by a 20-metre dome with 280 seats, making it one of the largest planetariums in France. The dome has a high-resolution digital projection system that immerses spectators in space and time. Shows, lasting 45 to 50 minutes on average, deal with astronomy and other popular-science subjects, such as how tides work.
The visitor area has been redesigned around a concentric-circle layout, with a permanent exhibition on the history of astronomy. The site has been recognised as an "astronomy school" since 2016 and offers courses. It suits families as well as school groups.
