Phare de la Pointe D'Agon
Built of rubble and local dressed stone, covered with zinc to resist the wind, it has provided navigation marking for sailors since 1856. The lighthouse is linked to Regnéville, which saw an annual traffic of more than three hundred ships, French, English and Norwegian alike. The establishment of a lighthouse at this spot was decided in 1848, sailors risking not spotting the port on moonless nights. Communication being difficult by sea and by land, it was necessary to add a dwelling to house a keeper.
