Petit Train des Causses

Lozère, Occitanie

The Boissets estate is a former Causse farm on the Causse Sauveterre, in the Lozère, about a quarter of an hour's drive from Sainte-Enimie. Bequeathed to the Département in 1978 by the Malafosse family and then restored in the 1990s, it now serves as an interpretation place for the Causses and Cévennes, an agropastoral landscape inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage. It has been listed as a historic monument since 2025.

The site offers an outdoor discovery trail and a belvedere with a view over the Tarn gorges. Guided tours are organised in summer, and free access to the trail is possible outside these visits. You discover Causse architecture and the agropastoral way of life of the plateau.

The estate is on the GR 60 and on the Saint-Guilhem path. A little train mentioned in the portal's former description could not be confirmed by the sources consulted.
