Parc naturel régional du Gâtinais

The French Gâtinais regional nature park is a protected area in the south of the Île-de-France. Nicknamed the "land of a thousand clearings and sandstone", the site has been classified a "regional nature park" since 4 May 1999. Since 2008, the Pays de Fontainebleau and Gâtinais Français biosphere reserve has been extended to include all communes of the Gâtinais Français Regional Nature Park. The renewal of the regional nature park classification (decree) was published in the Journal officiel of 27 April 2011.
