Parc floral de la Source

This landscape park, visited by Voltaire, friend of Lord Bolingbroke, was completely remodelled for the 1967 International Floralies. Since 1995, the Loiret département and the town of Orléans, co-owners, have been renovating it. The charm of a walk in the gardens of ferns, roses and dahlias under century-old oaks. An unusual discovery of the mysterious source of the Loiret overlooked by the Grande Volière, elegant and of innovative architecture. Pictorial emotion before the delicate palette of 700 irises classified "National Collection" and gathered in a contemporary garden. A whirling ballet of hundreds of coloured butterflies in the tropical butterfly greenhouse.
