Parc de Samara
Samara, in the Somme, is a large nature park devoted to prehistory, tracing 600,000 years of human history.
Workshops led by enthusiasts show the skills and techniques of prehistoric people. Recreated dwellings and scenes of daily life show the constant interaction between humans and nature since the dawn of humanity.
At Samara, archaeology comes alive and learning is fun: children watch the blacksmith or the potter at work, try throwing a spear, learn to make fire or knap flint.
