Musée Jacquemart-André

Paris, Île-de-France

The Musée Jacquemart-André, owned by the Institut de France, presents art collections worthy of the greatest museums in a magnificent Second Empire mansion. Often compared to the Frick Collection in New York, it has kept the atmosphere of a grand house, making it a unique place in Paris. Visitors discover rooms lived in during the 19th century: state salons, a monumental staircase, a winter garden and private apartments.

The museum of fine and decorative arts is at 158 Boulevard Haussmann, in the 8th arrondissement. It opened to the public in 1913 and has been run by Culturespaces since 1996.
