Musée de la Résistance de Lorris
Housed in the former railway station of Lorris, in the Loiret, the museum presents many telling objects and documents on the Second World War, collaboration, daily life in France under the Occupation, the internal and external Resistance, the maquis and the Liberation, internment and deportation.
A place of Resistance and the site of three internment camps, at Pithiviers, Beaune-la-Rolande and Jargeau, the Loiret holds an important place in national history between 1939 and 1945. The museum aims to keep alive the memory of one of the darkest periods in the history of France and Europe.
